This site is located near to “Trinitaria” and “Independencia” in the south of the state of Chiapas , near to Guatemala , 6,022 hectare of forest with montains, pines and oaks.

The tittle of national park was from 16 december 1959, in this  area has been registered 256 vegetales species and more of 100 kind of animals natives from this tropical area of Chiapas.

18% of this surface are the lagoons and lakes, 52 totally with color from blue turquesa to dark, to round forest. With the rain is disolve the rock and let that this lagoon have special characteristic as the form and deep as “Laguna encantada”, “esmeralda”, “tinta”, “ensueño”,”perol”, “la cañada”, “san lorenzo”, “bosque azul”, “montebello”, “pojol”,”tzizcao”, and others.

In this site you can visit the caves of “Puente de dios”, 40 mts high in arch in limits located arqueological site mayan “chinkultic” the climate is cool. For that you can camp and swim, with exception in the months of rain (may and octuber)

You can find “Quetzales”, “Tigrillos”, “Temazates”, and migrated bird, taking the highway 190 from San Cristobal de las Casas-Comitán there are buses to go to the park, 15 km you can find “laguna del bosque azul”, and Trinidad in km 36.6 you can found tzizcao in this site you are ready to find other lakes.
